ARCB Venture Labs has announced the development of the X Card, a digital asset payment card solution designed to connect blockchain-based assets with real-world spending.
The X Card is created as a practical payment gateway for the ARCB Venture Labs ecosystem. Through the member card portal, users will be able to manage supported digital assets, view market reference prices, convert eligible assets into USD-based card balance, and use the balance across supported payment channels.
At the centre of the X Card is the utility of the ARCB Token. Users may load ARCB Token into the card portal and convert it into card balance through the platform’s supported conversion mechanism. This gives ARCB Token a clearer real-world function by linking ecosystem participation with actual spending needs.
The X Card is expected to support several use cases, including online payments, business spending, lifestyle purchases, travel-related expenses, international merchant payments, and overseas ATM withdrawals. These services will depend on regional availability, transaction limits, platform rules, payment partners, and applicable compliance requirements.
One of the key strengths of the X Card is its scalability. Over time, ARCB Venture Labs plans to integrate selected partner tokens into the card system. This may allow approved partner projects within the ARCB Venture Labs ecosystem to offer their communities more payment and settlement utility.
The physical card is also designed for flexible account management. A single account may support the application and management of up to five physical cards, subject to user eligibility, platform rules, and compliance procedures.
ARCB Venture Labs stated that the X Card will be supported by account review, transaction monitoring, risk control, and compliance management. These processes are intended to ensure that card usage aligns with relevant regulations, payment network standards, and partner institution requirements.
As digital assets continue moving closer to mainstream adoption, the X Card represents an important step in making blockchain-based value more practical.
