博链财经BroadChain获悉，3月17日，据The Block，由OpenAI CEO Sam Altman联合创立的以身份为中心的加密项目Worldcoin计划在2023年上半年启动主网。
据两位知情人士透露，Worldcoin正在与总部位于佛罗里达州的全球制造巨头Jabil合作，将2021年首次亮相的便携式虹膜扫描设备的生产外包出去，以提高其虹膜扫描球体的产量，主网启动后它将能够每月生产400个球体。
据悉，虽然Worldcoin正在增长，但进展比预期的要慢。Worldcoin CEO Alex Blania此前曾对彭博社表示，到2022年底该项目将拥有6,000个球体和2000万至3000万注册用户，但根据本周的公告，该项目迄今为止仅注册了130万用户。
