According to Lookonchain monitoring, in the past 30 minutes, Ceffu (12993...4DaAXS, 0xed9...7bCDd) deposited 136.54 million USDC into Binance, and subsequently withdrew 1,524 BTC and 59,484 ETH from Binance, worth $118 million and $146 million respectively.

Odaily Planet Daily reports that derivatives strategy protocol D2 Finance has raised five public questions regarding Tori Finance's actions in covering the shortfall following the Term Finance incident. These questions include: why 250,500 trUSD were minted prematurely instead of using existing USDC reserves; the source of the collateral used for minting; the fact that the other half of the funds came from a Kraken hot wallet; the transparency page showing a buffer of only about $17,600, or about 3 basis points, far less than the impact of the incident; and issues related to Delta Neutrality verification, high-yield currency market positions, and hedging methods. Previously, the Term Finance governance vulnerability affected the RockawayX Tori USDC Vault, resulting in a loss of approximately 454,000 USDC. RockawayX and Tori Finance subsequently stated that this loss had been fully covered by both parties.

Odaily Planet Daily reports that the Ethereum client Besu patched five security vulnerabilities discovered by blockchain security company CertiK in its 26.7.1 version released on July 27th, and subsequently released four detailed security bulletins on August 14th. Vulnerability details were disclosed later to allow node operators time to complete upgrades and deployments. Jialiang Chang, Director of Security Engineering and Senior Audit Partner at CertiK, stated that this patch-first, detail-later approach provides an 18-day buffer period, allowing node operators to identify affected deployments, test the new version, and coordinate upgrades with validators or consortium participants. The vulnerabilities involve block broadcast processing, caching of future height consensus proposals, WebSocket subscription limits, and JSON-RPC filter creation. If not patched, attackers could exhaust node memory or thread resources, impacting node availability and consensus processing. CertiK conducted adversarial testing of peer-to-peer, HTTP RPC, WebSocket RPC, and consensus interfaces in a private multi-node test network using the Chain Scan method and provided reproducible testing tools to the Besu team.
