According to BlockBeats, on July 28, citing sources familiar with the matter, Nvidia and OpenAI are in talks for a massive AI data center project worth approximately $500 billion, located in southern Ohio, USA. The project is expected to have a maximum power capacity of 10GW, potentially making it the world's largest data center project.

The report states that Nvidia may provide OpenAI with approximately $250 billion in funding to lease a data center campus developed by SBEnergy, an energy subsidiary of SoftBank. The total cost of the project is estimated to exceed $500 billion, including up to $350 billion in AI chip procurement.

The first phase of the data center is expected to be completed in 2028, with an initial power supply capacity of approximately 800MW. If fully implemented, the 10GW power capacity will far exceed that of most current large-scale AI infrastructure projects, equivalent to meeting the electricity needs of approximately 8.4 million American households.

The project's power resources are located on U.S. federal land and are jointly supported by the United States and Japan. Japan had previously pledged to invest $33 billion in related energy infrastructure in exchange for tariff reductions.

As the demand for AI computing power continues to surge, Nvidia is accelerating its deployment of large-scale AI infrastructure, forging deep partnerships with companies such as OpenAI, Meta, Microsoft, and Amazon. According to BlockBeats, on July 28, U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessant stated that "Trump Accounts" has become "the most successful launch program in the history of the U.S. government," with approximately 7 million children already registered.

Bessant revealed at a meeting of the Financial Literacy and Education Commission that the program's registration numbers have further increased from 6.5 million earlier this month. The U.S. Treasury Department stated that early registrations for the Trump account have outpaced other digital platforms and financial products.

McKinsey & Company previously estimated that with widespread participation, the Trump account could accumulate between $80 billion and over $900 billion in assets for American children over the next decade. However, the final size will depend on household participation rates, continued willingness to invest, and long-term investment performance.

According to BlockBeats, on July 28, Wall Street investment bank TD Cowen lowered its target price for Bitcoin treasury company Nakamoto Inc. (NASDAQ: NAKA), reducing the stock-split adjusted target price from $40 to $17, a decrease of 58%, but maintaining a "buy" rating.
