PANews 4月27日消息，据CoinDesk报道，加拿大《强大与自由选举法案》（C-25法案）在下议院二读表决中获跨党派支持，通过并送交委员会审议，其中条款拟禁止在联邦层面接受加密货币政治捐款。法案将加密货币与汇票、预付支付工具一并视为难以追踪的资金形式，适用于注册政党、选区协会、候选人、党魁及提名竞选人以及第三方广告主体。收到非法加密货币捐款的对象须在30日内退还或上缴联邦财政部。报道指出，加拿大自2019年起技术上允许加密货币政治捐款，但主流政党鲜有公开接受；相较之下，美国仍允许相关捐款，英国则已立法禁止。
