Shiba Inu (SHIB) continued to trade under pressure toward the end of 2025, extending a prolonged downtrend that has defined the token’s performance throughout the year. The memecoin is down more than 66% on a year-over-year basis, with recent price action strengthening concerns among traders as the market approaches 2026.
Over the past 24 hours, SHIB moved lower in line with lower conditions across the broader crypto market. Chart data shows the token trading near $0.00007092, representing a daily decline of roughly 2.34%. Early in the session, SHIB attempted a modest rebound toward the $0.0000723 level, but the move failed to hold as selling pressure returned, pushing prices lower through the remainder of the day.
SHIB Price Holds Narrow Range Despite Weak Momentum
Intraday trading patterns show a sequence of lower highs accompanied by brief rebounds. These moves show a continued caution among buyers, with no clear signal of a trend reversal. Despite the pullback, SHIB remained within a tight trading range, pointing to consolidation rather than a sharp breakdown.
Market data indicates that SHIB’s market capitalization declined to approximately $4.17 billion, while 24-hour trading volume slipped to about $85.6 million.
Sentiment surrounding SHIB has also surfaced on social media. A long-time community member publicly expressed frustration over ongoing losses, calling on Shiba Inu lead developer Shytoshi Kusama to intervene as the token continues to trend lower.
EV2 Presale Continues During Broader Market Consolidation
Alongside SHIB’s price weakness, activity within the Web3 gaming sector has continued independently. The EV2 (Earth Version 2) presale has remained active during the broader market slowdown. According to project data, the EV2 token is priced at $0.01 during the presale, with a minimum purchase requirement of 5,000 tokens.
The project agenda outlines early access in Q4 2025, followed by marketing initiatives in Q1 2026 and a larger game release alongside a token-generation event in Q2 2026. EV2 is planned for PC distribution through platforms such as Steam and Epic Games, with console releases scheduled for later stages.
The presale has raised more than $2 million so far, allocating 40% of a fixed 2.88 billion token supply to presale participants. The game, developed by Funtico, is currently in early testing with live gameplay available.
