Altcoin Market Braces for Over $100M in Token Unlocks This Week

A series of major token unlocks scheduled between July 21 and July 27, 2025, could increase circulating supply across several altcoin projects. With over $100 million worth of tokens set to be released, the events are drawing attention from market participants closely tracking possible shifts in liquidity and volatility.

The unlocks involve nine projects, each releasing scheduled allocations ranging from under 1% to over 22% of their respective supplies. While some are modest in size, others represent sizable releases that could introduce pressure on token prices due to increased availability.

Initial Releases: Plume Network, AVAIL, and SOON

The unlock cycle began on July 21 with Plume Network releasing 108.34 million PLUME tokens. This represents 1.08% of its total token supply, valued at approximately $13.23 million. The release started a sequence of events that will continue daily throughout the week.

July 23 will see two major unlocks. AVAIL is set to release 969.60 million tokens, accounting for 9.22% of its total supply. The value of this unlock stands at $19.31 million. Also on July 23, SOON will unlock 41.88 million tokens, representing 22.41% of its circulating supply and valued at $12.59 million. These early-week unlocks are among the largest by percentage and set the tone for the week’s broader supply dynamics.

Midweek Activity Increases with More High-Value Releases

July 24 will feature SoSoValue’s token unlock of 6.66 million SOSO, amounting to 0.67% of the token’s supply. The value of this release is approximately $1.51 million. The week’s highest-value release is scheduled for July 25. AltLayer will unlock 240.80 million ALT tokens , representing 2.41% of its supply. The total estimated value stands at $21.06 million, the largest among all scheduled releases.

On the same day, Humanity Protocol will unlock 91.67 million H tokens worth $4.98 million. Sahara AI will also participate with the release of 84.29 million SAHARA tokens, valued at $7.19 million. These combined events make July 25 the most impactful day by value.

Ronin will follow on July 26 with the release of 31.84 million RON tokens, equal to 3.18% of its supply. This unlock is valued at $19.29 million and is among the highest-value events of the week. Yield Guild Games will complete the schedule on July 27 with an 11.49 million token release. The YGG unlock represents 1.15% of its total supply and is valued at $2.36 million.
