Tron DAO has announced a strategic partnership with Rumble Cloud. TRON DAO is a community-driven DAO committed to accelerating the decentralization of the internet through Tron blockchain and decentralized applications.

On the other hand, Rumble Cloud is a cloud services provider and video-sharing platform whose mission is to make the internet a free and open environment. Multiple institutions, including most recently, Tether, the government of El Salvador, and Tron, have partnered with Rumble Cloud due to its powerful performance and cost-effectiveness.

Tron integrates with Rumble Cloud

Based on this collaboration, Rumble Cloud will provide data storage infrastructure to the Tron blockchain. The integration is set to help the Tron network strengthen its decentralization by decreasing reliance on traditional cloud providers.

Rumble Cloud will provide Tron with access to its broad cloud computing services, such as virtual machines, Kubernetes orchestration, storage solutions, and virtual computing services. Rumble will leverage its video streaming infrastructure to offer business-scale storage capability to Tron while supporting the blockchain’s censorship resistance and decentralization.

This collaboration is essential for Tron as it is a busy blockchain platform that requires strong, censorship-resistant storage infrastructure to support its decentralized assets.

On the other hand, this strategic alliance is also important for Rumble Cloud. Tron is a major blockchain network in the crypto industry. Therefore, this collaboration widens Rumble Cloud’s presence in the blockchain sector. Tron’s dominance in the digital asset market shows that it has significant infrastructure needs that may turn into significant revenue for Rumble Cloud.

The rise of decentralized storage solution

This partnership between TRON and Rumble Cloud shows that public Layer-1 blockchains like Bitcoin, Ethereum, and others, are moving away from centralized storage technologies. They are increasingly integrating decentralized storage networks for decentralized solutions’ efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

Last year December, Tether announced its partnership with Rumble Cloud to bring decentralized solutions to markets underserved by centralized service providers. Also, in early January 2025, the crypto-friendly government of El Salvador collaborated with Rumble Cloud for cloud services. These recent strategic integrations position Rumble Cloud as a rival to cloud giants like Google Cloud and AWS Cloud.

Despite the majority of the cloud storage market share is still dominated by the centralized solutions offered by Google, Amazon, and other heavyweights, the above recent collaborations suggest increasing demand for decentralized storage products, especially in the blockchain sector.
