Abstract Chain Active Addresses Hit 105K Mark First Time since Launch
Abstract Chain, a new Ethereum Layer-2 network, is experiencing significant activity currently, with active addresses climbing to higher levels not witnessed before. This trend suggests a change in Abstract’s role in the cryptocurrency landscape.
What’s fuelling Abstract’s address growth?
Of late, Abstract Chain’s network activity has surged two folds. Since early this month, the number of active addresses on the platform has multiplied by two times. The amount of new addresses climbed to 105k this week, which is almost twice as much as in previous weeks. They peaked at 27.2k on April 15 2025, which is a sharp rise from previous days. April 11 and April 9 also saw remarkable jumps to 22.1k and 27.0k respectively.
This rise in network activity aligns with an increase in Abstract’s on-chain transactions. The surge of the network’s activity is driven by the increasing popularity of the Bigcoin game, where game players mine the BIG token. Bigcoin game is an on-chain game that recently launched on Abstract after the blockchain rolled out its mainnet in January, 2025.
Also, Abstract’s surging activity is fuelled by Cambria’s increasing traction. Since its integrated its gaming platform on Abstract late this February, Cambria, a risk-to-earn MMO (massively multiplayer online) game, has continued experiencing growth.
Cambria expanded its presence to the Abstract Chain as a supported blockchain besides Blast and Ronin chains. It integrated its gaming network into Abstract to broaden its game’s accessibility, enabling more gamers in the Web3 community to join the platform.
What is Abstract Chain?
