According to BlockBeats, on August 21, Lookonchain monitored that in the past 6 hours, a whale/institution sold 871,000 HYPE tokens (worth approximately $64.82 million) through FalconX.
BlockBeats reported on August 21 that Justin Sun posted on social media that his legal team recently attended a hearing in the U.S. Federal Court in California, opposing World Liberty Financial's (WLFI) attempt to transfer their dispute to a secret arbitration process and keep documents out of public view. The court supported his position, ruling that all of his personal claims would continue to be heard in open court. At the same time, the court rejected World Liberty's request that all company-related claims be submitted to arbitration and required both parties to negotiate and determine which claims would remain in court and which would proceed to arbitration. This ruling is a "major victory," and it indicates that token holders have the right to know how the project handles investor rights.
Justin Sun stated that he was one of World Liberty's earliest and largest investors, having invested $45 million in WLFI tokens. He alleges that after his investment helped WLFI raise approximately $550 million, World Liberty implanted a backdoor in the WLFI smart contract, allowing the project to unilaterally freeze, restrict, or destroy token holders' tokens. He claims World Liberty took measures against his WLFI tokens and threatened criminal prosecution when he sought legal recourse. The current claims against World Liberty amount to hundreds of millions of dollars.
Furthermore, Justin Sun stated that he is aware World Liberty also has similar functionality in its USD1 stablecoin offering and warned users to be aware of the associated asset freezing or destruction permissions. Justin Sun also questioned World Liberty's financial situation and business arrangements, stating that public information shows World Liberty deposited approximately 5 billion WLFI tokens with the lending platform Dolomite as collateral and lent out at least $75 million worth of stablecoins, including USD1. He believes these arrangements may pose risks.
