According to BlockBeats, on August 11th, Luke Dashjr, Chairman and CTO of the OCEAN mining pool, announced a vacancy from OCEAN to focus on the development of Bitcoin and related open-source projects. He stated that Bitcoin is currently facing serious attacks, making a true rest impossible. Luke Dashjr also reiterated that Bitcoin has only one chain and explicitly stated that he does not support any forked versions.
Previously, it was reported that F2Pool co-founder Wang Chun publicly criticized Luke Dashjr after the failed BIP-110 fork, saying that he was "not only financially bankrupt, but also personally discredited."
According to BlockBeats, on August 11, citing official announcements and reports from The New York Times and other sources, Trump's Truth Social is selling high-speed data access services for key accounts' posts on its platform to financial services institutions through its newly launched Truth API. The API went live on August 1, and the company stated that it has signed more than ten client agreements and has already begun generating revenue.
The exact lead time for this interface compared to ordinary users has not been publicly disclosed. TMTG only stated that it will deliver posts in milliseconds, while Reuters reported that the speed will be significantly faster than regular push notifications. For high-frequency and algorithmic trading firms, even a difference of a few seconds can create a trading advantage.
According to Truth Social, the Truth API is priced at approximately $60,000 to $100,000 per month. Based on calculations from over ten clients, the annualized revenue from this business could reach approximately $8 million to $13 million. In comparison, Trump Media's total revenue in the second quarter was only $1.7 million, meaning that if this data interface is renewed stably, it will become an important new source of revenue for the company.
The selling point of this service is speed. For trading firms, Trump's posts on Truth Social can influence individual stocks, industry trends, and even policy expectations. Faster access to these posts can translate into a trading advantage.
However, Truth Social itself is facing traffic pressure. The Financial Times, citing Similarweb data, reported that its daily active users on mobile devices fell from approximately 436,000 in July 2025 to approximately 261,000 in July 2026. This decline in traffic will reduce advertising growth potential, but API revenue relies on a few high-paying institutions, making its business logic closer to financial data licensing.
Currently, Trump Media has not separately disclosed the actual revenue of the Truth API. The market will now focus on whether this business can continue to expand its customer base and generate verifiable revenue contributions in future financial reports.
