Lumentum, a leading optical communications company, reported Q4 FY2026 revenue of $1.01 billion, a year-over-year increase of 109.3%.
According to BlockBeats, on August 12, Lumentum, a leading US-listed optical communications company, released its Q4 2026 fiscal year results, with revenue of $1.01 billion, a year-on-year increase of 109.3%; adjusted earnings per share of $3.23, compared to an estimated $2.97; and adjusted gross margin of 50.4%, compared to an expected 48.8%.
Full-Year Fiscal 2026 Results: Net income was $3.01 billion, and the net loss under Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) was $6.9 billion, or $92.96 per diluted share. The GAAP net loss was primarily due to a one-time non-cash debt settlement loss of $7.8 billion resulting from the equity conversion of certain convertible bonds in the fourth quarter of fiscal 2026. Non-GAAP net income for fiscal 2026 was $782.3 million, or $8.67 per diluted share. As of the end of the fourth quarter of fiscal 2026, the Company held $2.7 billion in cash, cash equivalents, and short-term investments, an increase of $1.9 billion from the end of fiscal 2025.

Its CEO stated that the expected profit margin on contracts signed in Q2 is 5-10 percentage points higher than new contracts signed in recent quarters.

A U.S. federal judge ruled that the Kalshi Sports contract did not constitute a swap, and the CFTC did not obtain exclusive jurisdiction.
Odaily Planet Daily reports that Judge Vernon D. Oliver of the U.S. District Court for the District of Connecticut rejected Kalshi's preliminary injunction application, ruling that its sports event contracts do not fall under swaps under the Commodity Exchange Act. The CFTC did not gain exclusive jurisdiction as a result. The ruling stated that sports event contracts account for 80% to 90% of Kalshi's listed contracts and revenue, and the CFTC never reviewed any of these contracts under its special rules. Oliver argued that event outcomes are results of events, not isolated events. Coinbase Financial Markets lost for the same reason; it offered Kalshi contracts through its platform in January as a futures commission broker rather than a designated contract market, and Connecticut had not previously issued a cease and desist order against it.
