Verge is an open source cryptocurrency based on Bitcoin technology designed for daily use. It employs a network of multiple anonymous centers, such as TOR and I2P, for privacy protection and fast transactions that are easy to adopt on a large scale.
Verge cryptocurrency can help both parties to conduct currency transactions quickly and effectively, and avoid the involvement of a third party. With Verge cryptocurrency, enterprises and individuals can freely choose to send and receive funds. With the introduction of the Wraith Protocol upgrade, users can send and receive payments privately on edge blockchain via secret addressing services. End users are reportedly able to switch between private and public ledgers on the blockchain. The Verge offers five different proof-of-work algorithms for mining including Lyra2rev2, Scrypt, X17, Blake2s, and Myr Groestl.
Verge utilizes a variety of technologies to achieve its goal of an extremely private cryptocurrency.
Wraith protocol provides Verge investors with Verge A toggle in the core wallet that allows the user to choose whether to conduct fully private transactions via invisible addresses. When conducting bitcoin transactions or transactions with Menlo coin-style privacy levels, there is an option to initiate on-chain transactions with standard privacy levels.
Tor is a kind of message encryption privacy tool, Verge integrates it into its wallet by default to ensure the privacy of peer-to-peer messaging.
I2P tunneling provides a high degree of redundancy for information requests and transmissions across networks. When a network participant wants to contact another node for the first time, I2P routes a communication request through a custom distributed hash table (DHT) that finds existing tunnels similar to other users.
Verge also supports atom exchange, It supports their decentralized goal by allowing cross-chain value transfer (or exchange) between chains that all support atomic cross-chain transactions without the need for trusted third parties to monitor and arbitrate the exchange. Verge supports this by implementing BIP65 check Lock Time Validation (CLTV).
