Polkamarkets is a DEFi-based prediction market built for cross-chain information exchange and trading where users locate the results of real-world events on a decentralized and interoperable platform on Polkadot. 
 Users can monetize their predictions of future outcomes and events within an interoperable and decentralized infrastructure, where your beliefs become publicly traded assets with financial value in the market. 
Polkamarkets will be more than just a prediction market, it will also have important entertainment functions. These include NFT-based gamification, online location live integration in esports and sports, and daily crypto price markets. Live chat and virtual activities in the online community will also be important entertainment additions to our platform. 
$POLK is a native utility token for: 
 tokens are used to coordinate incentives to produce network effects that address problems plaguing predictive markets such as low trading volume, low liquidity and low daily active usage. Polkamarkets designs $POLK for the following key definitions and gamification use cases: 
● Prediction market creation: $POLK is required for users to exploit new market places on Polkamarkets. If you want to know the future, and get the wisdom of the crowd, you must use $POLK. ● Mining: Users and LPS earn $POLK by forecasting on the platform and providing liquidity to Polkamarkets. ● Direct fees of liquidity providers (LP) : All markets on Polkamarkets pay a transaction fee of 0.3%. 2/3 (0.2%) of all transaction fees on Polkamarkets will be paid to LPs in tokens (e.g. ETH/DOT). The remaining 1/3 fee (0.1%) is used to automatically purchase $POLK through smart contracts on decentralized exchanges. ● Yield farming: 1/3 (0.1%) of all transaction fees on Polkamarkets will be used to purchase $POLK on DEXs, paid to LPs for liquidity services. 
● Gamification: Achieving higher and higher levels of revenue $POLK will unlock exclusive NFT, access to larger markets, and special features. The core features of Polkamarkets MVP include: ● Real-time location of events in esports, sports, crypto pricing, politics, and more.
