Opium Network

OPIUM is a governance token that can be earned through active participation in the Opium protocol ecosystem. OPIUM tokens are not financial instruments or securities. They are only meant as a tool that will help us and the community build the foundation of a derivatives trading ecosystem that will be permissionless and decentralized.

The Opium Protocol is a universal protocol that enables the creation, settlement and trading of virtually all derivatives and financial instruments in a professional, trustless manner. It allows anyone to build custom exchange-traded products on top of the Ethereum blockchain. Once created, they can be freely traded through a relay network and will be priced according to supply and demand.

The Opium network is a learning ecosystem that works using custom logic with derivatives and oracles. All created positions are represented by ERC-721o tokens specially designed for trading financial instruments that can be combined into portfolios and traded natively in combined orders. At the same time, these tokens are backward compatible with the ERC-721 token standard and can be used in existing ecosystems.
