KILT is an open source blockchain protocol for publishing verifiable, revocable, and anonymous claim-based credentials in [Web 3.0] . 
KILT's mission is to return control of personal data to its owners, restore personal privacy, and enable innovative business models around identity and credentials. KILT aims to achieve this by combining real-world trust with the benefits of blockchain technology. Developers can use KILT to create identifiers for people, machines, services, and anything else that can establish identity. 
KILT was built on Parity Substrate and launched the main network as Kusama parallel chain in September 2021. Substrate provides seamless integration opportunities with Kusama and Polkadot projects such as Gaming, NFT, DeFi, and DEX; KILT also implements corporate partnerships in energy, healthcare and banking. 
ILT is building a permission-free trust infrastructure for real-world business cases to help individuals and entities prove and protect their online identities. 
By providing authentication in the digital world, businesses can verify credentials and establish trust, and KILT provides a foundation layer for verifiable credentials in Web 3.0.
