MaidSafe is developing Safe Network: the world&#39;s first autonomous data and communications network that transforms the unused power of billions of everyday devices into the internet&#39;s crowdsourced storage layer. Safe Network represents the next wave of decentralized infrastructure, a highly scalable, non-blockchain approach to data autonomy and a platform on which to build the future of distributed and private edge computing. MaidSafeCoin serves as a direct proxy for these tokens, redeemable at a 1:1 ratio when the network is about to launch, and is currently in late alpha testing.
