e-Gulden

E-Gulden stands for Electronic Dutch Guilder, or ELF for short, and can be used for payment, billing and savings in the Dutch market. The electronic Guilder is overseen by the Electronic Guilder Foundation, but it is fully open to the public. Software code and data can be viewed by anyone. Electronic Dutch guilders make peer-to-peer transfers through the network to achieve a cash-like circulation function.
