Bitcoin Gold

Bitcoin Gold，中文名为&ldquo;比特黄金&rdquo;，是比特币硬分叉产物。起源是一个由开发者组织发起的一个反对segwit2x的活动：&ldquo;NO2X&rdquo;。比特币黄金项目由香港挖矿公司LightningASIC的首席执行官廖翔主导。
Bitcoin Gold采用Equihash PoW算法，这个算法和BTC用的SHA256的区别在于，哈希算力将受计算设备的内存大小影响。所以，ASIC矿机将不再有效用于BTG挖矿。但是，比特币初时标榜以去中心化为目标。现时只有数家矿机生产商生产矿机，以致算力被矿机垄断。矿机生产商无疑从中夺取了对比特币的控制权，有违初衷。
为了改变这一现状，廖翔和他的团队希望创建一种数字货币来&ldquo;抗ASIC&rdquo;，一种不需要昂贵的、先进的挖矿硬件ASIC的数字货币，也就是后来的BTG。而不同于前一个较成功的比特币硬叉&mdash;&mdash;比特币现金BCH，BTG并不是用来取代比特币的。从BTG的白皮书中看到：&ldquo;比特黄金的出现是为了保护比特币的，为了保证它主要加密货币的地位。&rdquo;
