Acala is the first decentralized financial alliance based on Polkadot, aiming to join Polkadot ecosystem to create an open financial framework that brings financial stability, liquidity and accessibility to crypto assets. At present, core infrastructure modules such as staboin protocol for cross-chain multi-asset mortgage, liquidity release protocol for pledged assets and decentralized exchange have been launched, as well as a self-developed Ethereum-compatible smart contract module, aiming to improve the ecological interoperability of Acala. In addition, Acala has received official financial support from Web3 Foundation and received investment from several well-known global organizations including Polychain, Pantera, ParaFi, etc.

The Acala main network launching process is consistent with Polkadot launching process. In order to better test the main network functions, Acala also launched the experimental pilot network Karura with economic value. Its underlying code is consistent with the Acala main network, and all functions of the main network will be launched in Karura first. Compared to Acala, the tempo is faster and the style of play is more flexible.

AcalaNetwork(ACA coin) is the financial center of Polkadot, whose research focuses on decentralized financial protocol and mechanism design, sub-chain economic modeling and governance. By providing key financial primitives, including decentralized Stablecoin, du note derivatives, and DeX, AcalaNetwork powers open finance across blockchain (DeFi) applications on Polkadt and other platforms.

The project aims to issue AcalaDollar(aUSD), a decentralized decentralized stablecoin that allows users to send and receive US dollars via any blockchain connected to the Polkadt network. The project is also designed to release the underlying assets (DOTs) as fungable and liquid assets (L-DOTS), extract the derivative value of the underlying assets, and fuel DeFi without sacrificing overall network security. The Acala network is protected under Polkadot's shared security model, ensuring high resiliency and fork-free upgrade capabilities. The distributed network is entirely managed by ACA token holders to achieve a bright future: a future based on more truth and less trust.
