Odaily Planet Daily reports that the Thai Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) is seeking public comment on proposed rules for Bitcoin and Ethereum spot ETFs. The draft also includes adjustments to the eligibility criteria for foreign custodians. Cryptocurrency ETFs must be established and managed by licensed asset management companies and will be subject to existing ETF rules and digital asset investment requirements. The Thai SEC stated that Bitcoin and Ethereum funds will be included first, and other altcoin funds will be considered after the criteria are met. Packaged funds will be opened later. These products must be listed and traded on the Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET), and foreign custody arrangements may be adopted when necessary and appropriate. (Bitcoin.com News)
