Ukraine bans prediction market platform Polymarket

Odaily Planet Daily reports that Ukraine has blocked access to the prediction market platform Polymarket. The National Electronic Communications Regulatory Authority (NCEC) of Ukraine reportedly ordered the blockade under Resolution No. 695, citing the platform's lack of a license required to conduct gambling activities. Polymarket's domain name has been added to the Public Directory of Banned Internet Resources. Data shows that as of December 24, the platform had completed approximately 240 bets related to Ukraine, totaling over $270 million. There were also 120 active bets, totaling over $140 million.
