Huoxun Finance reports that Sui has launched a gas-free stablecoin transfer feature, allowing users and businesses to conduct peer-to-peer stablecoin transfers on the network without paying gas fees or holding additional SUI token balances, effectively reducing stablecoin transfer fees to $0. Powered by Fireblocks, this feature is being rolled out gradually on the Sui mainnet and supports various stablecoins including USDsui, SuiUSDe, AUSD, FDUSD, USDB, USDC, and USDY. Sui co-founder and Mysten Labs CPO Adeniyi Abiodun stated that this feature removes barriers to managing gas tokens for users, simplifying on-chain payments. Based on Sui's newly launched Address Balances system, this feature simplifies on-chain fund storage and transfer processes while maintaining high performance and scalability. Since August 2025, the total stablecoin transfer volume on the Sui network has exceeded $1 trillion. This upgrade will propel Sui to become a core stablecoin infrastructure for enterprise payments, fintech, and AI agent automated payment scenarios.

A research report released by JPMorgan analysts points out that in the current market environment, Ethereum and the broader altcoin sector will continue to lag behind Bitcoin. The core reasons are weak network activity, stagnant growth in the DeFi ecosystem (Solana TVL will drop from a peak of $13.1 billion in 2025 to about $5.5 billion), and limited real-world adoption scenarios. The report believes that altcoins need a major surge in network activity to catch up with Bitcoin's performance, and currently lack short-term catalysts.
