Cumberland transferred 3.72 million UNI tokens, worth approximately $12.63 million, to CEX in the past 23 hours.
According to BlockBeats, on August 14th, based on monitoring by on-chain analyst Yu Jin, approximately 3.72 million UNI tokens (worth about $12.63 million) were transferred to trading platforms such as Binance, Coinbase, OKX, and Bybit through market maker Cumberland in the past 23 hours. During the same period, the price of UNI fell from $3.59 to $3.22, a drop of approximately 10%.
3.72 million UNI tokens were transferred from Cumberland to multiple exchanges, causing the price of UNI to drop by 10%.
According to Odaily Planet Daily, based on monitoring by on-chain analyst Yu Jin, in the past 23 hours, 3.72 million UNI tokens (worth $12.63 million) were transferred to exchanges such as Binance, Coinbase, OKX, and Bybit through market maker Cumberland. The price of UNI dropped from $3.59 to $3.22, a decrease of 10%.
BNB Chain will launch the Pasteur hard fork on August 25th.
Odaily Planet Daily reports that BNB Smart Chain (BSC) announced that the Pasteur hard fork will officially launch on the mainnet at 10:30 AM Beijing time on August 25th (2:30 AM UTC on August 25th). Node operators need to upgrade to client version v1.7.7 in advance. This upgrade includes three improvements: BEP-682, BEP-695, and BEP-675, focusing on enhancing cross-chain security, validator governance mechanisms, and network throughput. Specifically, BEP-682 strengthens the BNB Chain cross-chain bridge verification mechanism, preventing the risk of permission bypass due to validator signature duplication and improving the security of cross-chain asset transfers. BEP-695 optimizes the validator key rotation mechanism, ensuring that old keys no longer retain management privileges after exiting the system, while also fixing potential vulnerabilities related to penalties and governance voting. In terms of performance, BEP-675 reduces the time consumed by validators repeatedly executing transactions by optimizing the block building process. In BNB Chain's internal QANet test environment, this solution increased throughput from 1237 TPS to 2324 TPS. While maintaining a block time of 450 milliseconds and a block limit of 100 million Gas, the average Gas usage per block increased from 46.35 million to 84.15 million. BNB Chain stated that this upgrade is primarily aimed at validators and block builders, designed to provide greater capacity during peak network periods and drive the throughput expansion goals in BNB Chain's roadmap for the second half of 2026.
