On January 27, the Sverdlovsk Regional Arbitration Court initiated bankruptcy watch on Fox Group, which holds a 98% stake in BitRiver. This case stems from a dispute with energy infrastructure operator Infrastructure of Siberia over an equipment supply contract worth approximately $9.2 million. Furthermore, BitRiver founder and CEO Igor Runets has been placed under house arrest by a Moscow district court on suspicion of tax evasion. Currently, BitRiver's related accounts have been frozen, and the company faces other legal action for unpaid electricity bills. The company has been on the US OFAC sanctions list since 2022.

According to Odaily Planet Daily, Tom Lee, Chairman of Ethereum treasury company Bitmine, posted on the X platform that Bitmine has just updated its ETH and cash holdings. The company currently has no debt. Given the strengthening fundamentals of Ethereum, the recent market correction is "extremely attractive." As of February 1st, Bitmine has staked 2,897,459 ETH (approximately 67% of its total ETH holdings), an increase of 888,192 ETH from the previous week.
