According to BlockBeats, on August 12th, Nick Timiraos, often referred to as the "Federal Reserve mouthpiece," stated that the July CPI data was largely in line with expectations, easing pressure on the Fed to raise interest rates in September. The Fed believes that current interest rates are sufficiently tight to guide inflation to its 2% target without requiring further rate hikes.

Dinaro becomes the first issuer in Slovenia to be listed in the MiCA EMT register.
Dinaro, an e-money institution regulated by the Central Bank of Slovenia, has been added to the EU's Register of Electronic Money Tokens (EMTs) under the Crypto Asset Markets Act (MiCA), becoming the first Slovenian issuer to be included in the register. This update to the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) register also added two crypto asset service providers (CASPs): Czech lender Partners Banka and German Volksbank Beilstein-Ilsfeld-Abstatt, bringing the total number of registered entities to 325. Dinaro's website indicates that it provides payment services such as card issuance and acquiring, and holds a Mastercard master membership. The Czech company Altlift is no longer listed in the CASP register; it first entered the register in early July this year, authorized to execute and transmit customer orders and provide crypto asset advice. With Dinaro's addition, the EMT register now contains 43 entries; the Asset Reference Token (ART) register remains empty, and the list of non-compliant entities remains at 167. (Cointelegraph)
