Odaily Planet Daily reports that Gnosis Chain performed a hard fork this week to recover the $116 million stolen in the Balancer security breach in November. The affected funds are now out of the hackers' control and have been transferred to wallets controlled by the DAO. This hard fork follows a soft fork adopted by a majority of validators in November to limit losses. Balancer previously disclosed that its V2 Composable Stable Pools were attacked, resulting in losses exceeding $116 million. Although white-hat hackers recovered approximately $28 million, most of the funds remained inaccessible. Odaily Planet Daily reports that Matador has received approval to issue CAD 80 million (approximately USD 58.4 million) worth of stocks, warrants, debt securities, or units within 25 months. Matador CEO Deven Soni stated that the company aims to increase its Bitcoin holdings to 1,000 by the end of 2026. Currently, Matador holds 175 Bitcoins, worth USD 15.3 million. The company plans to reach its 1,000 Bitcoin target in 2026 and further increase it to 6,000 by the end of 2027, with a long-term goal of holding 1% of the total Bitcoin supply, or approximately 210,000 Bitcoins.

According to Odaily Planet Daily, Anthony Pompliano, in an interview with CNBC, stated that the lack of a frenzied price surge for Bitcoin at the end of the year could be a catalyst to prevent a major crash in the first quarter of next year.
