Binance announced in 2023 that it would halt new user registrations in response to UK financial promotion regulations. According to Odaily Planet Daily, Ethereum Foundation researcher Toni Wahrstätter stated that the protocol architecture team hopes to prioritize Frame Transactions (EIP-8141) and FOCIL (EIP-7805) in the planned Hegotá upgrade in 2027. Frame Transactions can collaborate with Keyed Nonces and Recent Roots (EIP-8272) and Transaction Assertions (EIP-7906) to enable privacy pools to automatically pay transaction fees and allow wallets to set execution conditions after transaction submission. FOCIL can provide protocol-level inclusion guarantees for eligible transactions. Currently, FOCIL is the only confirmed proposal for Hegotá inclusion, and the Frame Transactions proposal is one of 66 proposals under evaluation.
