According to BlockBeats, on August 21, South Korean cryptocurrency exchange Upbit announced the addition of trading support for Biconomy (BICO), BubbleMaps (BMT), Nillion (NIL), and Ether.fi Gas (GWEI). All four assets will be listed in BTC and USDT trading pairs.

Specifically, BICO, NIL, and GWEI will be deposited via the Ethereum network, while BMT will be deposited via the Solana network. All of them are expected to open for trading at 13:00 (Korean time) on August 21. The deposit service will be available within 2 hours after the announcement.

Upbit stated that buy orders will be restricted for approximately 5 minutes after a new asset is listed, and only limit orders will be supported for approximately 2 hours; other order types will not be available at this time. Trading opening times may be delayed if liquidity is insufficient before or after the listing.

According to BlockBeats, on August 21, the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) recently disclosed that the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York has issued supplemental consent orders to former Alameda Research CEO Caroline Ellison and Alameda and FTX co-founder Gary Wang, formally resolving the CFTC's enforcement case against the two individuals.

According to the court order, both Ellison and Wang must continue to cooperate with the CFTC investigation. Ellison was sentenced to a 5-year trading ban and a 10-year registration ban, while Wang was sentenced to a 5-year trading ban and an 8-year registration ban. The bans are effective from the date of the initial consent order signed by the two individuals on December 23, 2022.

In 2022, the court found Ellison liable for two counts of fraud brought by the CFTC, and Wang liable for one count of fraud, and permanently banned both from violating the Commodity Exchange Act and CFTC anti-fraud regulations.

It is worth noting that the CFTC is not seeking additional forfeiture, return of illicit gains, or civil penalties against Ellison and Wang at this time. The CFTC's enforcement division stated that this decision is partly based on the significant cooperation of the two individuals in the investigation and related litigation, including pleading guilty in federal criminal cases and assisting in investigations related to FTX.

David I. Miller, head of the CFTC’s enforcement division, said that Ellison and Wang, as senior executives of Alameda and FTX, committed fraud and were held accountable by the court, but their final punishment reflects the significant assistance they provided to the CFTC investigation.

In addition, both individuals have pleaded guilty to multiple offenses in related criminal cases, including conspiracy to commit merchandise fraud, and are jointly liable for forfeiture orders totaling approximately $11.02 billion.

This consent order signifies the official end of the CFTC's enforcement actions against Ellison and Wang.
