X2Y2 希望构建一个真正去中心化且与用户共享收益的 NFT 市场平台。X2Y2 已经在以太坊上发布了 Beta 版，测试阶段允许用户以零交易费用和零版税交易 NFT，当前可供测试的功能包括固定价格出售、报价、系列报价。
X2Y2 之后会升级现有功能和不断增加新功能，包括即时推送通知买卖、拍卖、批量上架、批量购买、稀有度排名、批量发送和上线等。X2Y2 正式版本中会收取交易用户 2% 的手续费，不过手续费会全部分发给代币质押用户。
不同于 LooksRare 通过提供相当可观的交易奖励来刺激用户交易，X2Y2 则不设交易奖励，不管是在针对 OpenSea 用户的空投认领规则还是质押奖励方面，主要鼓励和督促用户上架 NFT 来解决平台上 NFT 的供需问题。其中，总的 NFT 上架奖励是代币质押奖励的两倍还多，同时，也会为代币质押者提供平台全部交易费（2%）和代币奖励。为了消除跑路嫌疑，会在 Uniswap 上将通过 ILO（Initial Liquidity Offering）收集到的所有 ETH 添加流动性，并永久销毁这部分 LP 代币。ILO 具体细节会在下一部分内容中解释。
根据该项目此前进行的一场 AMA 中透露的信息，X2Y2 团队匿名，营销合作伙伴为总部位于新加坡的加密营销公司 Winkrypto。
