DeFi Land is a Solana based multi-chain agriculture simulation web game that aims to gamify DeFi by redesigning all the features of traditional DeFi to be a user-friendly interactive game for beginners and ecological participants. DeFi Land wanted to create an interactive, fun and easy-to-learn way to introduce new users to decentralized financial applications, with the goal of being customer-centric and enhancing the experience of existing DeFi users to make it more attractive. DeFi Land won second place in the latest season of the Solana Hackathon Developer competition.

The amazing thing about the DeFi Land project is that it does not create a closed ecosystem for games, as users have seen in other protocols. Instead of creating a new environment, the DeFi Land team accelerated, gamified, and improved the existing environment. Enabling DeFi Land to run on established platforms means that users will be able to use the well-known AMM/DEX/ debit agreements through DeFi Land games. For example, when players try to do yield farming in the game, they actually use different mining pools and betting platforms through the DeFi Land interface.

In DeFi Land games, each game element will represent an NFT, which is tradable and unique. For example, SOL in their demo is sunflower, USDC-corn and Cope-pumpkin. These assets will be used to perform the same activities provided by traditional DeFi as well as various other activities that DeFi Land will soon reveal.

DeFi Land will come in two versions: V1.0 and V2.0. V1.0 will launch this summer, with V2.0 scheduled for delivery in early 2022. It will be available to web and mobile users. All game designs and mechanics are experimental and will be iterated over many times. In V1, DeFi Land will give users more of a "gamified Zapper" experience. Players will be able to pool their favorite DeFi protocols, then take on quests and "Play to earn" gameplay. With V2, the team hopes DeFi Land will eventually become a game that people will actually enjoy playing, introducing combat, chat, levels, guilds, and more.
