Marlin

Marlin is a Layer 0 protocol that provides high performance network infrastructure for decentralized blockchain networks. By optimizing the speed and scale of blockchain at the network layer, Marlin aims to give decentralized applications the same performance as the previous generation of Web 2.0 products. 
 Co-founded by former Microsoft, Samsung, and Cisco engineers and researchers from MIT and the Ethereum Foundation, Marlin is an open protocol that provides a high-performance programmable network infrastructure for Web 3.0. It enables faster transfer of blocks, transactions, and data between miners, full nodes, and Tier 0 users, making the dApp experience smoother and more convenient. The core of Marlin protocol is a relay node network, which uses special path adjustment, dynamic flow control and multipath routing technologies to communicate, in order to achieve superior performance over weakly connected networks. Platform-independent, its plug and play network modules can interoperate with a wide range of consensus algorithms. Marlin's mission is to provide Web 2-like performance in Web 3 without sacrificing the core principles of decentralization and security. 
Marlin has created a suite of tools for developers and users, including: Marlin SDK: Designed for developers who need low latency, one-to-many communication for games, streaming media, blockchain applications. Marlin Cache: Serves as a decentralized content delivery network for storing major requests from API information flows and data stores. Marlin Gateway: Allows customers (traders), complete nodes, miners, and verifiers to exchange large blocks and transactions over a low-latency relay network to take advantage of Gas Price Auctions and extend the blockchain at layer 0 with shorter block times.
